Who we are

We’re experienced design and product leaders who’ve built teams at scale-ups including Deliveroo and Monzo, across London and New York. While we’re both AI enthusiasts, we believe adapting to the AI era is deceptively un-technical. It’s about people. And helping them unlock their full potential. Something we’ve spent decades on. (Jonny even founded and sold a startup focused on it!)

Tom harman

Product design leader, coach, and AI enthusiast with over 20 years of experience designing products and building people-centred teams. He’s led design in both New York and London at companies like BuzzFeed, Babylon Health, and most recently spent five years as Director of Design at Monzo. He’s a big believer in the power of AI to help humans do what they do best.

Jonny Burch

Founder and Designer. Jonny was employee #1 at Index backed Fintech startup Osper before helping to grow Deliveroo’s design team as the business scaled from 150-2000 employees. He went on to found Progression to support career and skill growth in technology teams, raising over $6m and selling the business in 2024. He’s a somewhat developer, automation nerd and has loved making things work since he was 4.


What we offer

  1. Embedded AI adoption partnerships with AI-forward organisations, working directly with founders and senior leadership (1+ months, currently booked until 2026)
  2. Dedicated Hack Weeks — sprints with individual teams of 5-20 to focus on new workflows, tools and techniques (1-5 days, limited availability in 2025)
  3. Workshops for larger groups to provide initial ‘AHA’ moments and confidence to get started on specific AI initiatives (1-4 hours, limited availability in 2025)
  4. Open Hack Weeks for anyone (2-4 days, next hack week to be announced soon)

What we believe

The Adoption Gap

AI is no longer a Silicon Valley pipe dream. It’s a tidal wave heading straight for the work culture we’ve built our careers around. From social media headlines to internal memos at companies we admire, everyone seems to be fuelling the hype: fully embrace AI or get left behind.

We believe there’s a better path, one that doesn’t demand blind allegiance or blanket rejection. A practical exploratory method to build an opinion and confidence in both the strengths and weaknesses of what AI means for you and your team.

Our approach is underpinned by these beliefs:

  1. AI should give us more time for what matters.
  2. Working with AI is a muscle we build through trial and error.
  3. Real value comes from everyday wins, not flashy demos.
  4. Let’s use AI to imagine more, not just do more.
  5. Change is inevitable, but how it happens is up to us.
